Al Horford OUT tonight against the Lakers… This sucks.

Here I am… At work (Yes I have a day job). I’m here grinding away doing the damn thing… THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN I CHECK MY TWITTER AND BLAMMO.

God… Dammit… This sucks.

I HATE YOU KENT BAZEMORE.

I’m kidding… Kind of. This just sucks all around basically because there are a lot of unknowns here. Concussion protocol could mean that Al won’t be ready to go for a couple of games. Being out tonight with a win streak in motion already blows… If he has to be out for more than just tonight it’s going to be a significant blow to the Celtics.

Al has been the Celtics best player so far this season without question. Nobody has played better than he has so far. Also, nobody has been more CONSISTENT than Al so far.

Number one in defensive rating. Putting up close to a triple-double almost every night. THE ONLY PLAYER IN THE NBA to have a positive +/- player rating in every single game so far this season.

Al has been a stud, and this is a tough one. Obviously, there’s no timetable at the moment, but I am just hoping this is a fast recovery and he doesn’t miss too many games (Hopefully it’s just tonight).

Without Al, tonight’s matchup just got a lot more competitive. I expect either Daniel Theis or Marcus Morris (Leaning towards Morris) to be inserted into the starting lineup. I think it’ll go like this…

Kyrie Irving
Jaylen Brown
Marcus Morris
Jayson Tatum
Aron Baynes

Tonight is still a winnable game, and even if the Celtics fall tonight… The focus should just be on Al Horford getting better as quick as possible and getting back onto the court.
