Some interesting news that isn’t MSU related coming out of the state of Michigan… The Detroit Pistons have decided that the Avery Bradley experience isn’t really for them.

Avery is now being shopped by the Pistons and expected to be moved by the trade deadline.

I feel bad for Avery, I was (and still am) a HUGE Avery Bradley fan. I always thought he was the man. He was this silent, matter of fact, let’s go play ball kind of guy.

I think when Detroit traded for him they expected him to be a 25 point a night guy who would also put the clamps on the opposing team’s best player. That’s not who Avery Bradley is.

Detroit took the bait on Brad’s system… Just like many have with players coming out of Brad’s system *cough cough* Isaiah Thomas and Jae Crowder.

So… Now that this new is out. I’ve been seeing every tweet imaginable about how Danny needs to get on the phone and get Avery back to Boston.

Nope. No dice.

NBA rules don’t allow teams to trade for players that they have traded away in the same “league year” so that disqualifies the Celtics trading back for Avery Bradley.

So where is the most likely destination for Avery? Look out, it’s gonna be a doozy.

Oklahoma City

The Thunder just lost Andre Roberson for the year. They need a defensive stopper and Bradley brings an added bonus of… you know… being able to score the basketball… Something Roberson really cannot do.

If OKC finds a way to maneuver a deal for Avery I think it’s a GIGANTIC addition to their squad that’s currently on one hell of a winning streak.

I will always root for Avery, so I hope he gets dealt to a good team that can compete.
