This was a bomb just dropped out of NOWHERE on this Thursday afternoon…

First reported by Ian Rapoport about the possibility that it might be torn. Schefter came in shortly after to confirm the horrible news.

This is a big enough story to be talked about anywhere and everywhere, regardless of the Bench Mob’s focus mainly in Boston. This is just terrible, no way around it. Deshaun Watson could not have been more on fire since he took over the starting job of the Houston Texans. Granted, the Texans were still struggling with injuries on the defensive side of the ball… But Watson brought an unseen optimism about the future of both the offense and the franchise as a whole.

Now he’s done. Done for the year.

I am a HUGE Deshaun Watson fan since I would watch him at Clemson… as the rest of the country would. His big game ability and poise in the National Championship win over Alabama are unforgettable. People argued if this guy was actually good enough to be a starting quarterback ahead of TOM FREAKING SAVAGE. Unreal.

I just feel bad for the guy. A non-contact drill in practice and BOOM your season is over and you have to go through one hell of a grinding recovery to make your way back. It’s just a shitty situation for a kid who was well on his way to Rookie of the Year and possible MVP consideration.

The game of football is better when dynamic players like Watson are on the field. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I hope he can come back just as strong if not stronger.
