If you were unaware, the Bruins are on a roll right now. Yesterday’s win makes it 4 in a row and the sole reason is An-Tawn Koo-Dobe-In. You can kind of say the Koo softly like Stewie from Family Guy says Wheat Thins.
Tuukka’s piss poor play gave Cassidy no choice. I am so happy he made the change and Khudobin is fully taking advantage of his opportunity. At this point, Rask may never get the starting job back. The Bruins have a had a fantastic week with Khudobin in between the pipes. The Bruins won 3 out of 4 on the road, (You can guess who started the game they lost..it rhymes with Bazooka) and yesterday beat the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Khudobin is now 7-0-2 in his 9 starts. He has yet to lose a start in regulation and has gotten the B’s 16 out of a possible 18 points in games he’s net-minded. KEEP THIS MAN IN NET!
As for yesterday’s game, what a great game to go to. Right out of the gate the B’s outshot the Pens 14-4 in the first period. They took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission thanks to David Krejci (YES HE’S ALIVE BRUINS FANS!) and the best named player on their team Sean Kuraly! Shoutout to Charlie McAvoy with the assist.
Pittsburgh scored a minute into the second period with a Jake Guentzel goal, but that was quickly overshadowed by Charlestown native Matt Grzelcyk’s first ever NHL goal. (That’s a polish name if I’ve ever seen one)
Awesome fun fact: Grzelcyk is the 7th…yes 7th Bruin to score his first ever NHL goal this season. Bjork, Chelarik, DeBrusk, Heinen, Kuraly, and McAvoy are the other six.
Crosby and company refused to go down without a fight and ended up tying the game 3-3. Thanksgiving dinner didn’t stop the B’s from getting hungry. What did they order?
WAITER! CAN I GET A HEAPING BOWL OF GAME WINNING PASTA PRIMAVERA PLEASE!
The B’s next game is on Sunday at 5pm against the Edmonton Oilers after the Pats crush the Dolphins. Look for Khudobin to start in net and continue his ridiculous ways and get the B’s their 5th straight W. We’ve lost the Celtics streak (for now) but the B’s have a streak of their own and I’m excited to see how far it goes.
